I thought he was being sarcastic about renaming the Gulf of Mexico, too, and yet here we are.

I agree that this was a stupid chest-pounding move. I don't like to change history, just like I don't agree with taking American history out of schools - this is the same type of thing IMO and is the sorts of things Trump doesn't need to do.

He has a real position here to create a big legacy and I think he should leave the theatrics and focus on the things that actually create change.

You seem to be under the impression that a member of Congress cares what you or me think, and will do something that you ask them. Newsflash:
    They don't and they won't.
My congresswoman loathes Trump, and if its something to stick a middle
finger up his face, she would be open to it.
I like 75% of what Trump does, but the trade wars is one thing that
    sours me.

I think Trump should of waited until the Canadian General Election, if
the Liberal Party won again, then he could of played the troll.

America was screwed in 2020, both candidates were brain dead. I think we
need an age limit for president. If you are going to turn 80, you cant
run for a term. If you run at 75, you would only be allowed 1 term.

    Agreed.

Supposedly, cabinet members and congress critters are starting to get tired
of Elon and all the mistakes that DOGE is making. Maybe Trump will soon
take care of this problem so they can get back to running the country.

I can agree here - I like 80% of his policy; I even liked the 'reciprocal tariffs' STANCE - I just don't know if the facts for Canada are there... I looked to see how the 25% [Or 20...] that he just put into place was reciprocal - I don't see it. And the fentanyl excuse; while I might listen more about Mexico on that front, I don't see it from Canada... if I'm wrong, show me. If Canada has taxes/VATs/tariffs that I'm not aware of, tell the American people - but I dunno...

I'm all for reciprocal tariffs - so long as they are exactly that. There are EU, and other, countries that DO screw the US - but I don't support trade wars on countries that don't... more information is needed, and he hasn't sold me on Canada just yet. That being said, if theres NOTHING there I think thats going to be a first bad call on Trumps part for me.

    There is so much simple but needed things;
    term limits
    no trading for congress
    age restrictions

    [more wild]
    more parties

... I'm still supportive of change, but I was hoping for more calculated, honest and fair SLASHES. I'm all about going for the big win - but it must be ethical, honest, caring...

I am still bigly [on purpose, lol.] supportive of Elon and auditing the entire budget - however have heard stories from people that I don't think should have been slashed on day one. This ISN'T the majority, tho - as many of those parts of government were complete democrat bullshit... but I think Elon should report, and others should make the call.

I love DOGE.GOV - and it is a line by line list; but I think a lot of good people get hurt when you cut out huge swaths without putting a board on it and thinking first. I want him to report, and I want to cut BIG parts - but I don't want the small good people to get hurt in the process.

I also want Surpreme Court Term limits, 2 11 year terms, 60 votes to
yank a justice after their first term.
