I doubt *very* much that anyone uses the PPP feature of Wildcat! these days of ubiquitous residential and commercial Internet access. What is your interest in PPP?

I'm logged on via "Connect Via Telnet", but I did not use the "Log In" option on the upper right of the homepage. My question concerns file
I looked all through the documentation for Firefox, and can't find much on file transfers...mainly for QWK Mail...which is the main way I

I know the file transfer options with Synchronet are Xmodem, Ymodem, Ymodem-G, and Zmodem...and I think one could use FHSLINK as the fossil
Lately, in using SyncTerm, whether I set the default display to either 80x24 or 80x25, it gets skewed, and the ANSI animations don't show up properly. However, they DO show up correctly with the "Connect Via Telnet"
option via your web interface.

The telnet client in use on webv4 is Rich Parrish's excellent fTelnet:

("Connect via telnet" is just a button that triggers fTelnet.)
There's no need to be logged into the web interface; when fTelnet connects, you'll get the usual login process that you see if you telnet into your BBS.
It's probably simpler to just use an FTP client to connect to your
board and download the packet that way. However, if you do want to do
it this way ...

fTelnet supports YModem-G transfers, but this feature is not enabled by default. You can turn it on by editing ctrl/modopts.ini -> [web] -> ftelnet_xfer to true. Just make sure this line is present, or if set to false, changed to true:
ftelnet_xfer = true
I can't remember if the change will take effect immediately. You may
need to look for the file temp/ftelnet.url and delete it if it exists
to cause a refresh.

They upgraded Firefox, and then I went to download SyncTerm 1.1-Setup, and finally got it. But, the date on the file was still for August...so, I still have the glitch as noted above...and that was the same for the download at vert.synchro.net and on sourceforge.

I'll see if I can disable the status bar...as SyncTerm does not allow
for an 80x24 setting, unless you set it to custom, then try to enter it
that way. But, I've tried that, and it still doesn't work.
I'm not sure what you're trying to do. I was suggesting trying this (in SyncTERM):
�Screen Mode 80x25
�Hide Status Line Yes
To see if it resolves the reported issue, which I'm not sure I fully understand either.
