Sounds like he needs to go to another BBS package more to his
liking... as he wants to have his cake and eat it, too.
I think Wildcat! is the answer. Seems that's where he pulled PPP and RADIUS from.
Probably. It sounds like he basically wants every feature of every
BBS package combined into one. If he thinks he's so smart, let him
write his own package, code and all. Shoot, he'd probably make it commercialware, and charge a hellacious fee to register it to unlock
all the features. :P
On a different matter, kudos to you for your web interface for SBBS. :)
But, I have a question with it.
I'm logged on via "Connect Via Telnet", but I did not use the "Log In" option on the upper right of the homepage. My question concerns file
transfers (I'm using the Mozilla Firefox Web browser) with the window.
I looked all through the documentation for Firefox, and can't find much
on file transfers...mainly for QWK Mail...which is the main way I
answer messages on the BBS.
Lately, in using SyncTerm, whether I set the default display to either
80x24 or 80x25, it gets skewed, and the ANSI animations don't show up properly. However, they DO show up correctly with the "Connect Via Telnet" option via your web interface.
I know the file transfer options with Synchronet are Xmodem, Ymodem, Ymodem-G, and Zmodem...and I think one could use FHSLINK as the fossil
mode of HS/Link (I registered my copy years ago). But, I'm not sure how
one handles file transfers via the "connect via telnet" window.
Any help would be appreciated.
