By comparison when you post at worst it might be something that ticks someone else off, but it's still more valuable than some random down
vote. Always will be.

The myriad of voting is generating errors all over my logs.
You're also illiterate. Board sounds like a piece of wood, when
you draw chalk in school, or to step onto a mode of travel.
The word should be "bored"...but it's as if you're either lonely,
or miserable. If every Sysop or poster in this area would twit you,
they'd never see your messages, and never reply to it.

I don't down vote your stuff.
In fact, in all seriousness, I hate downvoting systems and personally refuse to use them in any case other than one exception - corporate media and pop culture on a whole. On a person-by-person basis I find "downvoting," regardless of what value it may or may not have, a worthless action that contributes less than nothing.
By comparison when you post at worst it might be something that ticks someone else off, but it's still more valuable than some random down vote. Always will be.
People are more valuable than the sum of some random statistics.

Well at least you respect me here.
It shouldn't. What kinds of errors (examples)?

So your BBS isn't even liking it happening at the rate it is... damn.
I suggested to DM a individual twit lister. It will be much peaceful
then.

BBS = Bulletin "Board" System.

Rob,

I think it's with the voting deals:
Fri Oct 16 12:25:12 2020
evnt QNET !ERROR 2 (No such file or directory) (WinError 183) in qwk.cpp line 11136 (sbbs_t::qwk_vote) checking "conference number (voting not allowed)" access=2007 info vote:<[email protected]>
Several entries have started with the same day and time.
Then, everything is the same until right after starting with info vote:
There's a different numeric sequence, and "echo tag" (not sure what else
to describe it as) and a different BBS, such as:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
I think it all boils down to "not allowing voting", and I'm not sure
where the setting is in SCFG offhand. But, I'd only have it for verified users in good standing.
Regardless, I have numerous entries of that in the error.log file, and
I've had to continually trim it.

It's a real simple fix: just enable voting for the DOVE-Net sub-boards in SCFG->Message Areas->DOVE-Net.
I have better things to spend my time with than to answer pointless inquiries from The Millionaire.

First, be careful for what you ask for (the twit lister). Folks
can turn that around on you.
..."I'm board. Time to set up another Synchronet BBS."...
Can't you swap out your taglines?? They're as boring as your
messages, which make as much sense as tits on a boar hog.

And if you don't want to do that, you could just disable votes in your
QWK packets on the hub (VERT).

First, nice ascii. :)
Second, I'll take care of that by putting "Millionaire" in my
twit list, and remove his "website package". echicken's is far
better than what he put out.

It's not something that I made, just found and saved a long time
ago. :)
Huh? The millionaire put out some kind of a website package?
Hadn't heard that. More details, please.
I must've missed something. Website package?
All it was basically was a "color enhancement" of the basic
SBBS website setup. Yours has far more features available. I
And, he has begun addressing messages to himself in the echo.
He's either lonely because folks got tired of typing to him, or
a combination of him being vain and egotistical, as he has to
"see his name in lights", as it were.

All it basically was a color enhancement of the basic SBBS
website package...and NOT the one done by echicken.
I deleted that one out of my files area...but echicken's
website interface is included within the installation package,
and IMO, has far more features available.

I can't tell at this point if it's really him or someone having fun
with his account. It was amusing to have a bit of banter for a while, but it's worn thin and gotten a bit sad.

Some people did some really nice customizations / themes for the old
web interface which I was quite impressed with, especially since it was
a bit of a pain to work with. I never had the patience for it and
that's why I ended up writing my own, and then another, and another,
and another.
Best not give him anymore airtime then, even by discussing him in the third person. I can't tell at this point if it's really him or someone having fun with his account. It was amusing to have a bit of banter for
