• Mail Forwarding / Feedback Required Workflow

    DM,

On my BBS, I have SBBS require that feedback is sent to the sysop during the new user creation process. Everything works great with all of my custom displays, but if I enable forwarding on my sysop account it displays my email (netmail) address to users during the new user feedback process.

I'm familiar with the cool methods for managing customizations to user.dat, but I was wondering what the best way to accomplish not presenting the forwarding netmail address might be. I don't want to modify prompts to solve my issue that are needed in other parts of the system. I don't know if that would be the case.

I've also thought about using an email alias for the sysop account's netmail to improve privacy, so that I don't have to change any prompts.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    -WitNik

I think just setting the UserNetMail string in your ctrl/text.dat to a blank string would do it. The only other place that string is displayed in the user editor, and I don't think that would mess you up.
